There are 59 acres offering tennis and basketball courts, walking trails, a playground, and full-size athletic fields. The open air pavilion makes a great setting for picnics and reunions. Parks close at sunset.
Secure your spot with a reservation. Groups of 20 or more are required to have a reservation. The pavilion can accommodate 60 people. Reservations must be made 2 weeks or more in advance of the event date.
Please note that in order to see the most up to date information on availability, you must choose the calendar, then filter by the facility you wish to reserve. If you see a green reserve button it is available. It the space is blank, it it not available.
The gate will automatically open daily at 7:00am and close daily at 10:00pm. Cars still in the lot after the park closes will be able to exit by pulling up to the gate sensor, but cars will not be able to enter Thompson Park.
Reservations will only be accepted for Residents of the New Albany Park District over the age of 18. Residents of the New Albany Park District live in the New Albany-Plain Local School District. New Albany Parks and Recreation reserves the right to ask for proof of residency.
Cleaning deposit required and will be returned if cleaning requirements are complete. Disregarding any of the facility rules will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

New Albany Parks & Recreation reserves the right to deny use of district parks and facilities to groups who fail to comply with the rules and regulations set forth below. It is understood that the group/organization using the above park/facility will comply with the laws of the State of Ohio and City of New Albany, and all rules and regulations set forth by New Albany Parks & Recreation.

No selling or solicitation of goods or services without written approval from the Director.
Any groups that abuse a facility or violate rules and regulations will not be issued any future permits, and charges for damage and cleaning will be assessed.
